Encounter Lakes Paddle Trail
A short paddle around Encounter Lakes. This fully enclosed waterway is surrounded by houses and ideal for novice paddlers.The launch point is from a sandy beach adjacent a grassed area and toilets with a welcoming café nearby.

This is a pleasant paddle in quiet waters ideal for novices.
The lakes are surrounded by housing, but there are a number of public access points around the lakes, however the best for launching canoes and kayaks is the CM Thorpe Reserve which has lawns and toilets and a sandy beach to launch from.
Note: The local paddling club runs a handicap race on the first Saturday of every month. All comers welcome.
